Though not all poker tables have them, when you do get one, you will know: the guy who wants to be involved in every hand, and the ones he can’t, he wants to talk about. He can hardly stand to have to keep his hands to himself. This kind of player will have something to say to everybody, and doesn’t like having his blinds raised. He is ready for action at all times.
Often, too, the table captain type of player is pretty knowledgeable about the game. His confidence probably comes from having logged many hours at the poker online table with a good amount of success, and so though he may be annoying, you can’t assume he’s just a donk (unless he proves it to you in motion).
Assume the table captain is capable of a bluff. Because he plays so many hands, he’ll think he can pry you off of yours when you miss. But be careful, because he will also make hands just as regularly as anybody else, if not more so, since he sees so many flops.
